Recurring ear infections from swimming 😮‍💨😮‍💨 any advice??

Every time I swim, I end up with water trapped in my left ear, which often leads to an infection. 😞This summer alone, I’ve had to deal with it four times, and honestly, the $30 copays are starting to add up. I’ve tried all kinds of earplugs and swim caps, but nothing seems to help. It might be due to the shape of my eardrum. Has anyone found a reliable solution for this?
