The Night I Realized Wonder Isn’t Always Comfortable

We hiked four hours to a cabin near a Norwegian glacier. My girlfriend and I, soaked in sweat and silence, barely spoke by the time we reached the door. At 2AM, the water outside started throwing strange reflections across the ceiling—like the lake was trying to get our attention. We stepped out, half-awake, and saw the sky on fire with color. No one else around. No cell service. Just us, the cold, and something that felt bigger than awe. I thought I’d feel peace, but mostly I felt small and exposed. Sometimes the most beautiful moments don’t comfort you—they just remind you how much you don’t control. #Travel #TravelConfessions #UnexpectedAwe
