I keep telling people Washington hikes are my favorite, but the truth is, I’m not sure what I’m chasing anymore. Wallace Falls is all moss and mist, the kind of green that should feel like a reset. But halfway up, I realized I was just counting switchbacks, not soaking in the view. Everyone says nature heals, but sometimes it just hands you your own exhaustion. I took a photo at the top, didn’t post it. I wanted to remember how small I felt, not how impressive the falls looked. Maybe next time I’ll hike slower. Or maybe I’ll just admit I needed rest, not another summit. #Travel #HikingTruths #TravelFatigue
