The Hike Didn’t Clear My Head

I took this photo halfway up Mailbox Peak, legs burning, rain seeping through my jacket. I’d told myself this hike would help—clear my head, shake off the week. But halfway up, all I could think about was how heavy everything felt, inside and out. There’s this myth that nature fixes you, that a view makes it all lighter. But standing there, soaked and alone, I realized: the mountain doesn’t care if you’re tired or lost. It just is. And maybe that’s the point. Sometimes you reach the top and nothing changes, except you’re just more honest about what you’re carrying. #HikingTruths #NotJustViews #TravelConfessions #Travel
