I'm 35 and have been grinding toward my FIRE number of $1.2M by age 50. 💪 My current portfolio sits at around $400K with a 70/25/5 split in stocks/bonds/cash. I've been living frugally and maxing out my 401k, but now my boss dropped a bombshell - they want me to relocate to San Francisco for a promotion. 😵 The salary bump would be nice, but the cost of living there is insane! I'm worried this could completely derail my early retirement plans. My current low-cost city lets me save 40% of my income, but SF might cut that in half. 😟 Has anyone been in a similar situation?
