Cat Physics: How 8lbs Becomes 3 Feet Long

Okay, can we talk about how cats literally defy the laws of physics? My chunky tabby Mochi weighs maybe 8 pounds soaking wet, but the moment she decides to stretch? Suddenly she's a furry anaconda taking up my entire couch. Like, where does all that LENGTH come from?? One second she's a compact loaf, next second she's doing her best impression of a cat-shaped pool noodle. Her back legs are somehow in the next zip code while her front paws are still on my laptop keyboard (because of course). I swear she does it on purpose too. The smugness in her eyes when she's fully elongated across my bed, claiming every inch of space... It's like she's saying 'Yeah, I contain multitudes. Deal with it.'
