Chasing Light, Missing the Moment

Three times up this mountain, three times hoping for that perfect sunrise. The first time, clouds swallowed everything. The second, I slipped and turned back, embarrassed by my own nerves. The third, the light finally broke through—gold on stone, sky on fire. I took the photo, but all I could think about was how much I’d missed while waiting for the right shot.
