Hey everyone, I'm completely stressed out and need your advice! 😣 I've been a Product Director at a small tech company for years with great reviews, but after recent layoffs (including my old boss), I got blindsided with a 30-day Performance Improvement Plan two weeks ago. I've been hustling to meet all the PIP requirements while job hunting like crazy. Finally got an offer - same industry, Senior Director title, but it's $10K less than my current salary! 💸 The company won't budge on compensation after two rounds of negotiations. Here's my dilemma: My new boss says I'm meeting the PIP goals so far, but I know PIPs are usually just a formality before firing someone. Should I take this lower-paying job as my safety net, or risk staying to finish the PIP and hope for something better?
