Beauty Didn’t Fix the Restlessness

Sri Lanka was supposed to be a reset. The beaches, the green hills, the train rides that everyone posts about. It was all there—almost too perfect, like I’d walked into someone else’s screensaver. But I kept waiting for the feeling to land. I remember standing on a cliff above Mirissa, salt in my hair, the sky on fire. I took a photo, but never posted it.
