🌊 Back to the ocean! This time, I took a road trip to the small town of Mendocino in Northern California. It's one of those places you fall in love with instantly—perfect for a 2-3 day road trip. Checked out a few must-see spots👇🏻 📍Point Mendocino Trail (Images 1-2) Navigated to Point Mendocino, parked the car, and a few steps led to the breathtaking gradient of blue seas and the natural rock arch. The rock arch might look a bit daunting from a distance but up close, it's surprisingly spacious and safe to explore. 📍Point Arena Lighthouse (Image 3) About an hour's drive south from Mendocino along Highway 1, you reach this lighthouse. It happens to be the tallest accessible lighthouse on the West Coast. For $10, you can join a tour where staff share the lighthouse's history. You can climb the stairs to the top, offering a stunning view of the ocean from the small platform. 📍CA-128 (Image 4) En route to and from Mendocino, there's a stretch on CA-128 flanked by a grove of redwoods—a delightful drive. This road gained popularity as a filming location for the final race in the movie "Need for Speed," featuring towering redwoods alongside, culminating at the Point Arena Lighthouse. Images 7 and 8 showcase scenes from the movie. Explored two hidden-gem restaurants👇🏻 🔸 Luna Trattoria (Images 5-6) Authentic and delicious Italian cuisine in Mendocino. Tried their Grilled Prawn Pasta (GAMBERONI alla GRIGLIA) and Sausage Mushroom Penne (PENNE alla BOSCAIOLA)—both fantastic. The restaurant has a cozy ambiance, highly recommend booking ahead on weekends. 🔸 Harbor House Inn (Images 7-8) A seaside gem along Highway 1, it's arguably the most beautifully scenic Michelin-starred spot. Previously visited for dinner and this time experienced their $95 five-course lunch—a memorable experience indeed.
