Amazon & Walmart Might Ditch Credit Cards

Imagine checking out at Walmart or Amazon and skipping your credit card—because they’ve got their own digital cash! Both retail giants are tired of paying swipe fees to banks, so they’re looking into launching their own stablecoin (think: digital dollars). If this happens, it could mean faster checkouts and maybe even special deals for using their currency. Plus, if these two make the move, expect other stores to follow. Would you use a Walmart or Amazon coin for your shopping? #RetailTrends #MoneyHacks #CryptoNews #Business #LocalBusiness

Hogwash! They don't pay a fee. It's built in to the price of everything you buy and then some. "The price is always passed on to the customer".

Are they going to force people to starve by requiring everyone to rely solely on their monetary system? That's really messed up! How else are people supposed to shop online? It's all through credit cards or Visa debit cards now. If they remove those options, shoppers will have no choice but to look for other places to make their purchases—assuming any stores will still be around if that happens.

I don't know why the bank is charging retailers a fee to beging with. Don't the banks make a shit load of money on our interest rate when we use the credit card? The banking system is the biggest scam in the world.

No. And I suggest this be illegal. This would involve conversion of real money into Walmart Dollars. Just another hassle. And the opportunity of fraud or difficulty in getting your money back in real money much more difficult. And it undermines the value of real money as well.

The bank fee on every transaction is already added that to the price of the goods your buying and always passed on the consumer. Using Walmart cash won’t make a difference in checkout time. Getting any refund in Walmart money will limit us to shopping only at Walmart and unable to use elsewhere too. Not a good idea for Walmart to do to keep customers.
