Should the Cards Even Consider Trading Donny?

Brendan “Donny” Donovan is putting up All-Star numbers for the Cards this year, but rumors are swirling about the Astros eyeing him for a trade. With Donny slashing .310 and being a clubhouse leader, losing him would sting—especially since he’s under team control through 2027. Even if Houston’s looking for a lefty bat, does it make any sense for St. Louis to move their breakout star while chasing a playoff spot? I say no way.
