How Volunteering Changed My Heart About Homelessness

Five years ago, I started volunteering at a center for people experiencing homelessness. Back then, I didn’t have much of an opinion, but now my heart has completely changed. Every day, I see how quickly life can turn, and it’s made me realize how blessed I am to have a bed and a roof over my head. We’re all human, and kindness matters.
