Passed Over for Promotion—Was My Reaction Out of Line? 😤

Today was supposed to be a turning point in my career, but instead, it turned into a punch in the gut. I was sure I had the promotion in the bag—management even hinted at it. But 15 minutes after the rejection call, I told my boss I needed to sign off for the day for "personal reasons." Now, I can't stop replaying it in my head. Was it unprofessional to leave like that? Should I have just powered through and pretended everything was fine? Honestly, I was so angry and disappointed, I knew I wouldn't be able to focus or do my best work.
