Parents come in! Pureeing Chicken for Baby’s First Foods

Choose dark meat chicken like thighs for more iron and flavor. Remove all skin and bones, then dice the meat into small cubes. Cover the chicken with water or broth in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes until fully cooked (165°F inside). Save a few tablespoons of the cooking liquid. Let the chicken cool, then add about 1/2 cup of chicken and 2-3 tablespoons of liquid to a blender or food processor. Pulse until chopped, then puree until smooth. Add more liquid if needed, but don’t overdo it. For extra nutrition or taste, mix in a little cooked veggie or fruit your baby likes. Try one new ingredient at a time to watch for allergies. Super easy, and you know exactly what your baby’s eating! #BabyFood #ChickenPuree #FirstFoods #Food #Cooking
