Why I Had to Call the Police on My Baby’s Father

Last night was one of the hardest moments of my life as a new mom. My baby’s father and I got into a heated argument that quickly escalated, and I felt genuinely unsafe for myself and my newborn. My hands were shaking as I dialed 911, but I knew I had to protect my child above all else. The police arrived and helped calm the situation, but my heart still aches thinking about how things got to this point.
