Iced Chocolate for Summer: No More Hot Chocolate FOMO

Start with a mug of milk (seriously, milk makes it so much richer—skip water unless you have to). You can totally use oat or almond milk if that’s your thing. Add cocoa powder and sugar to taste. I usually start with a teaspoon of each, but you can play around. Dutch-processed cocoa is less bitter and honestly tastes better in drinks. Microwave for about 40 seconds—just enough to dissolve the cocoa and sugar. Stir it up until smooth. Chill in the fridge for 30–60 minutes. If you’re impatient, freezer for 10 minutes works, but don’t forget it in there! Pour over ice and enjoy. Want it slushy? Blend it with the ice. Toppings like whipped cream or marshmallows are totally optional but highly recommended.
