Why I Hesitated Before Piercing My Baby’s Ears

When my daughter was born, friends and family immediately started asking when I’d get her ears pierced. I’ll admit, I was torn. Growing up, I had my ears pierced as a baby, but as a new mom, the idea of poking holes in my little one made me pause. I worried about the pain, the risk of infection, and whether it was really my choice to make for her. After a lot of thought, I decided to wait until she’s old enough to ask for it herself.
