Mom's new boyfriend's strange behavior

Last month, my sister and I packed up and left home after my mom’s new boyfriend got way too close for comfort. One night, I heard my sister scream from the bathroom—he’d tried to touch her, and she was terrified. I lost it, kicked him out, and called our dad. Mom was in denial at first, but after we all explained, the creep finally disappeared. But the drama didn’t stop there! My sister was so shaken, she insisted we move out together. Mom, meanwhile, jumped into a new relationship and started policing my sister’s clothes, acting jealous and weird. We scraped together cash from both parents to get our own place. Now, we’re safe, but I’m still furious and confused. Why do some people use money and control to mess with family? How do you even rebuild trust after this? I really and truly don't understand women who are so desperate for a man in their lives that they would let them physically and verbally abuse their children. The daughter clearly said that the man went into the bathroom where the sister was and scared her. Mom dumped him but quickly moved on to another man and she now sees her daughter as competition by questioning what clothing she wears. This mother clearly needs help if she's questioning her daughter instead of the man she's with.

You might feel compelled to continue a relationship with your mother because she is your mother. Just don't forget what happened. Turning the other cheek isn't anyways the best, keep in your cheeks safe and watch what you say/do in regards to your relationship. That situation sucks, people suck. Sorry that you and your sister went through that.

I get a weird vibe that while the guy was a creep, the daughters getting angry that she is dating might be she is not allowed to have her own life after the divorce. She can only be with dad or no one at all.
