My Cat Ghosted Me Before Dinner

So, I set up this whole fancy dinner for my cat, Whiskers. Candles, his favorite tuna, even those overpriced treats he pretends not to like. Four months ago, I thought we’d have a cute little pet-and-human date night. Instead, he just stared at me from the hallway like I was haunting his dreams. Not a single purr, just judgment. Now, every time I try to plan something special, he disappears like a furry little phantom. I’m starting to think he’s trolling me. Is this normal? Do other people’s pets act like they’re too cool for dinner? Honestly, I just want one night where my cat doesn’t act like I’m the weird roommate.
