I used to love driving—it was my escape and a way to clear my mind. But lately, it feels like every trip is a gamble. Just today, someone cut me off turning right from a straight-only lane, nearly causing a crash. If I hadn’t slammed on the brakes, things could’ve been bad. To make it worse, my sister’s car was hit recently while my niece and nephew were in the back. Thankfully, they’re okay, but the other driver admitted he wasn’t even paying attention.
