So, This Is What 'Success' Feels Like? Spoiler: It’s Weirdly Lonely 😅

I always pictured getting a leadership role as finally being part of the inner circle. But after being sent to head up a new team in Seattle, just because I crushed a project, I feel more like the new kid in school—awkward and out of place. My team barely acknowledges me, and when I try to steer the ship, I get these polite but empty smiles. I can sense they think I’m too inexperienced, and honestly, it’s starting to chip away at my self-esteem. Has anyone else felt totally invisible after stepping into a new leadership role? How did you get your team to actually see you as their leader? I’d love to hear your stories or advice—feeling pretty lost right now! 🙏 #LeadershipStruggles #NewManager #TeamChallenges #JobCareer
