Is This What Success Feels Like? Because It Sure Doesn’t Look Like It

Not long ago, I was thrilled to step into my new role as the youngest manager at our Chicago office. My friends cheered me on, and my boss said I was the perfect fit. But now, I’m starting to wonder if I’m just in over my head. 😬 Every time I try to get my team’s input, I’m met with blank stares or awkward silence. It’s like my words bounce off invisible walls. The only time I get any real attention is when something goes wrong—and then, suddenly, everyone’s looking at me for answers I’m not sure I have. Honestly, I feel like a stranger in my own department. Has anyone else felt completely lost after landing what was supposed to be their dream job?
