When Climbing the Ladder Feels Like Falling Off It

I thought getting a new title would feel like winning the lottery, but honestly, it’s more like being handed a puzzle with half the pieces missing. I’m now leading a team in a department I barely know, and instead of feeling accomplished, I feel like I’m invisible. No one really talks to me, and my ideas seem to vanish into thin air. It’s like I’m the new kid in school, but everyone else already has their own lunch table. I can’t help but wonder if my age is making it harder for them to take me seriously.
