Family Drama: Am I Just a Walking Wallet? 😤🚗💸

Ever feel like your family expects you to be their personal ATM? That’s my life right now. I worked my butt off, graduated early, and finally bought my dream Mustang. But my parents and older sister—who, by the way, doesn’t work and lives off everyone else—keep telling me I have to give her money for her kids, buy her stuff, and even sell my car for a “safer” one to drive her babies around. I’m angry and confused. I love my family, but I’m not their backup plan! When I finally said no, my dad called me an asshole and said a man should sacrifice everything for family. Is that really fair? Am I being selfish for wanting to keep what I worked for? Or am I just tired of being taken advantage of? What would you do if you were in my shoes? Let’s talk about it, because I’m losing my mind here! 🤯🙄 #FamilyDrama #Boundaries #Siblings #RomanticRelationships

If a man is supposed to "sacrifice everything for his family," tell your father to look in the mirror and ask himself why HE isn't supporting his family.

Your father should be saying that to your sister's husband, or kids' father(s), NOT TO YOU. Those kids are NOT YOURS. It's ok to help when you can, and of your free will, but don't go around giving them your hard earn money. You should sacrifice for YOUR OWN FAMILY WHEN YOU HAVE A WIFE AND KIDS.

what you do with your money is nobody's business. whether you purchase a Mustang or decide to take a trip, that is strictly your business only. Your sister needs to get a full-time job and help your parents with the bills and extra food expenses while she and her kids live with your parents .

apparently you're out on your own and you're working on a job which your father seems to be not... it is not your job to support your family when they could be out working themselves... move away. change your phone number and quit being their backup plan

A man works for his immediate family. I'm wondering if the responsibility of your sister and her family would fall directly on your father? In any case, everybody should contribute.Stop taking on guilt. Decide an amount of you want to contribute. The more you do, they less they'll do. Start enjoying the life you deserve and have worked so hard for.
