That Creamy Green Peruvian Sauce Still Haunts Me

There’s this Peruvian dish from my childhood that I just can’t get out of my head. My friend’s mom would serve these tiny, tender chicken breasts (maybe quail?) with rice and this light green, super creamy sauce. It definitely wasn’t guacamole—no cilantro or lime, just smooth, avocado-forward goodness. I’ve never tasted anything like it since. Every time I try Peruvian food now, I’m secretly hoping to find that same sauce. Anyone know what it could be?
