When the Corner Office Feels More Like a Timeout Chair

I just stepped into a leadership role in our marketing team, fresh out of grad school. On paper, it’s a huge win, but in reality, I feel like the odd one out. Everyone else in the room has years on me, and it’s like my new title only made me more invisible. Every meeting, I’m met with polite nods and tight smiles, but I can sense the skepticism. It’s tough not knowing how to bridge the gap when I’m the youngest and the least experienced. I keep wondering if anyone else has felt this isolated after a big step up at work. How did you get your team to actually see you as a leader, not just the new kid with a fancy degree? I’d really love to hear your stories or advice before my confidence takes another hit. 😓 #WorkplaceReality #LeadershipJourney #TeamChallenges #JobCareer
