From Office Darling to the Odd One Out: When Success Feels Like Isolation

I just got bumped up to lead the marketing team in our Chicago office, all because my resume looked shiny enough for the execs. Everyone keeps telling me I should be celebrating, but honestly, I feel like I’m walking on eggshells every day. Most of my team has been here way longer than me, and now I’m suddenly the one giving directions. Instead of high-fives, I get blank stares and those weird silences that make you want to disappear.
