Lately, my parents—especially my dad—have been acting like secret agents, insisting they need all my social media passwords "for backup" as I head off to college. He says it's to keep me safe, but honestly, it feels more like I'm being watched 24/7. As devout born-again Christians, they even throw in verses about obedience, but what about trust and respect? I feel angry, confused, and honestly, a bit betrayed. Why do they assume the worst? Why can't they trust me to make good choices? I get that they worry, but isn't crossing into my private space just going too far? How do I convince them that trust goes both ways, and that privacy is a part of growing up? If you’ve been through this, or have any advice, please help—because right now, I feel like I’m living in a reality show called "Parental Surveillance: College Edition." 🙄🔍😤 P.S. Philippians 4:6-7 says not to be anxious about anything, but my parents clearly missed that memo! 😂 #TrustIssues #FamilyDrama #PrivacyMatters #RomanticRelationships
