How to pick the sweetest strawberries!

Cutting into strawberries, I noticed something odd: the sweetest ones were hollow, fluffy, and deep red inside, while the sour ones looked pale and dense. I tried this on a bunch from the same box and it seemed to hold up. Now I’m wondering if this is just a fluke or if it’s actually a thing.
