can you actually turn sprouting red onions into a backyard miracle?

Last week, I found a bunch of red onions in the back of my pantry, all sprouting wild green shoots. Instead of tossing them, I decided to see if I could give them a second life in my garden. I dug a little trench, popped the onions in with the shoots facing up, and covered them with some soil. A few days later, those green shoots perked up even more! It’s honestly so cool to watch something I almost threw away start growing again. Plus, it’s a fun way to get fresh onion greens for salads and sandwiches.
