Ever since I started working from home, I've realized just how much the traditional office environment drains me. The endless small talk, the unspoken rules, and the constant need to mask my true self as someone with high-functioning autism—it’s exhausting. I thought maybe I’d get used to it, but honestly, I just feel more burned out every year. Now, at 33, with a social sciences degree and zero passion for climbing any kind of corporate ladder, I’m stuck. I don’t want to socialize at work, and I dread the idea of ever returning to office politics. Is there really a job out there for someone like me who just wants to work quietly and be left alone? Or am I just dreaming? If anyone’s been in my shoes, I’d love to hear how you found your way out. 😩 #AutismAtWork #RemoteWork #CareerAdvice #JobCareer
