Promoted for My Degree—Now I’m the Office Outcast?

I never thought my master's degree would make me feel so alone. Right after graduation, I was put in charge of a team at our Chicago office, mostly because of my academic background. But instead of respect, I got cold shoulders and awkward silences. Every meeting feels like a test I’m failing. My ideas are met with blank looks, and sometimes I wonder if my team even hears me. It’s like I’m wearing an invisible sign that says, “Not one of us.” Has anyone else felt like the odd one out after a big change at work?
