Why Do We Have Kids Before Securing a Home?

I always hear people saying they want a house but it’s too expensive and they have kids… I just don’t get why you would have children before a house? Sometimes I wonder if it’s just the way life happens, or if we’re putting the cart before the horse. For me, having a stable home feels like the foundation for raising a family. What do you think?
