why did a butterfly land on my basil while i was weeding?

Yesterday, I was pulling weeds and noticed a bright butterfly chilling on my basil. I froze, not wanting to scare it off. Turns out, planting basil next to my tomatoes attracts all sorts of cool bugs. The butterfly just hung out, probably loving the shade and the flowers. I started mixing herbs and flowers together last year, and now my backyard feels like a mini wildlife park. Bees, ladybugs, and even a sneaky squirrel drop by. Keeping the soil moist and tossing coffee grounds around seems to make everything happier. My plants look healthier, and I get surprise visitors all the time.
