Why Do We Become the Parent We Dislike Most?

Idk why but the question is just eating me up since the past weeks. I look at my life and the choices I make, and honestly, they’re just as disappointing as my father’s. I keep repeating his mistakes, and it makes me feel like a loser. What’s even weirder is that when I look at my friends and cousins, they’re all turning into the parent they disliked the most, too.
