Four Seasons really said plot holes everywhere

just binged the four seasons and i'm conflicted. loved it overall but they really glossed over nick being a serial cheater?? like that explains SO much about anne's personality. also why give us his tragic backstory just to kill him off with zero family closure? feels wasteful. hoping for season 2 but let's be real, shows like this rarely get renewed.
