why did my tomato plants betray me with nothing but mushy fruit?

I spent weeks babying my tomato plants, checking soil, watering just enough, and even talking to them (don’t judge). I pictured baskets of juicy tomatoes. Instead, I got a bunch of sad, mushy blobs. Turns out, overwatering is a thing. I thought more water meant more tomatoes, but nope. Less is more! I also learned to mulch with straw to keep the soil happy and not soggy. Now, I check the soil with my finger before watering. If it’s dry an inch down, then it’s time. My plants are finally perking up, and I’m actually getting real tomatoes this time.
