Cooking for my family has always been a joy, but my current GE Profile electric cooktop just isn’t cutting it anymore. Only one burner can bring my 8-quart stockpot to a boil, and the others struggle to even heat up my beloved 12” cast iron pan. I dream of the day I can boil pasta and sear steaks at the same time, without playing Tetris with my cookware! I’m ready to make the leap to induction, but I’ve noticed that many 30” cooktops just don’t have the space or burner layout to handle two big pots side by side. Has anyone found a model—new or used—that actually lets you cook big meals without compromise? I’m not limiting myself by budget yet; I just want to know what’s out there that can truly handle the heat (and the size!).
