did i just grow my own corn from scratch or am i dreaming?

Pulled my first ear of corn off the stalk today and wow, it’s actually from seeds I saved last year. I’m still in shock. I kept thinking, what if it doesn’t work? But I just made sure to pick the healthiest kernels, let them dry out, and stored them in a paper bag. When spring hit, I planted them in loose soil, gave them plenty of sun, and watered when the top inch felt dry. Watching those little sprouts turn into full-grown corn was wild. The best part? It tastes sweeter than anything from the store. Saving seeds is totally worth it. If you’re on the fence, just go for it.
