Sometimes I wonder if I have pica

I literally love any pericarp......for most fruits and veggies, I’m all in. Biting into a crisp apple, skin and all, just feels right. The peel has this satisfying snap and a hint of tartness that makes the whole experience better. Same goes for cucumbers—unless they’re waxy, I never bother peeling them. Carrots, too. There’s something about eating a potato with the skin on, especially when it’s roasted, that just hits different. The edges get all crispy and flavorful. It’s wild to me how many people automatically reach for the peeler. Maybe it’s a texture thing, or maybe it’s just habit, but I’ve always felt like the peel is where the real character is. #Pica #Food lovers
