Cat Tree Nightmare: Dress Infested!

Imagine grabbing your fave dress off the cat tree—only to find it covered in tiny yellow dots. That’s what happened to one cat owner, who freaked out thinking it was larvae (and honestly, same). Turns out, it was mites from the cat litter! The internet went wild trying to ID the mystery dots. PSA: If you spot weird stuff on your clothes, wash everything hot, check your pet, and deep clean. Even unused cat trees can be pest hotels! #CatOwnerProblems #PetCare #HomeHacks #RedditDrama #PetSafety #Pets

You do not need to be dirty to get head lice or bed bugs. People need to educate themselves before they speak. Lice like clean hair. They can’t attach to oily hair. All it takes is to sit next to someone with either lice or bed bugs and you can take them home with you. Has nothing to do with cleanliness

Yall know that head lice comes only on clean hair right? For everyone commenting about head lice. They are NEVER found on dirty hair. They do not like dirty greasy hair. So cleanliness it the lack of isn’t why people get lice. You can be the cleanest person to ever live and get head lice. People who are homeless living in the woods that haven’t showered in 10 years will not get head lice. Do your research before going on an app acting like you know everything folks. Geez. The problem is , if someone has lice and isn’t aware they jump like fleas jump and that is the only reason someone that is less of a clean person we will call it poor hygiene. They get it from someone else. Not because they have bad hygiene. The lice can be in one head start of class by the end of class the entire 25 student are likely to now have it. But it will never start on someone with poor hygiene. #facts

The litter box had to be a disgusting smelly mess if it was infested with bugs! We have 4 cat trees (one spoiled cat) and never have this problem!

it is a lice, but it's not head lice it's body lice (no, not crabs). They like to lay their eggs on clothing, which is what those sesame seed looking things are. and that's not from your cat tree that's from you, so quit blaming your cat😆

Mites would not be living in the cat litter!!! They would be on the person not to mention you cannot see most mites with the human eye. This is definitely head lice!

Looks like bed bugs to me For your sake I hope not lived in an apt. building and had them 2xs had to throw out all the furniture and wash everything in hot water Also my elderly neighbor who had a handicapped son the bugs were eating up his arm I took him 2 two different skin docs who didn't know what it was Well the outcome was horrible she had drop ceilings and ended up there were thousands in her apt. She lost everything and had to move out A Hazmat team had to come in and deal with it I moved out shortly after that

No. Cts generally don't have or carry large mites. Those look to be human louse so she might be storing some unclean poor person.
