Navigating Family Boundaries: When Grandma Wants to Babysit

Recently, I told my mother-in-law that we’ve hired a nanny to help with the kids. She seemed really hurt and upset that we didn’t ask her to babysit instead. I’m struggling with whether I should be honest and say that I just don’t feel comfortable having her watch the kids, or if I should keep things vague to avoid hurting her feelings further.
