First Steps, New Sneakers, and Facing the Mirror

Pulled on my new gym shoes this morning—honestly, they look better than I feel right now. My body’s heavier than it’s ever been, and I’m carrying a lot of shame along with it. But today is day one. I caught myself in the mirror before heading out, and for a second, I imagined what it’d be like to actually enjoy shopping for clothes again, to pick out something because I love the color, not just because it fits.
