Last night, my boyfriend and I were relaxing in our Chicago apartment, dreaming about our future—kids, marriage, the whole nine yards. Out of nowhere, he says, "I'm definitely getting a DNA test when our baby is born." At first, I laughed it off, thinking he was joking. But nope, he was dead serious. I felt blindsided and honestly, hurt. Does he really think I’d cheat on him? I’ve never given him a reason to doubt me! I told him how much it stings that he’d even consider this, and he just shrugged, saying he wouldn’t even tell me if he did it. Am I overreacting, or is this a huge red flag?
