Body Shamed in Public—Why Are People Still Like This?

Today, while working as a Shipt shopper, I was just bagging orders at Target when an older woman complimented my hair—then immediately tore me down for wearing my favorite leggings. She told me I looked awful and criticized my body in the harshest way. I'm a size 14, I have cellulite, and honestly, I’m not ashamed of it. But wow, the shock and confusion hit hard. Why do people feel entitled to comment on strangers’ bodies? Have you ever experienced something like this?
