I finally found a position that seemed perfect: close to my apartment, reasonable hours, and the manager I met during the interview was actually friendly. The interview went smoothly, and they promised an offer after I completed their online paperwork. But the moment I asked about the pay? Total silence. Not even a courtesy email. I followed up, but it’s been days with no response. Their “help wanted” sign has been up for months, so you’d think they’d be eager to hire. Is it really normal to get ghosted just for wanting to know if I can pay my rent? Or is this a sign I should run the other way?
