Before I became a parent, I thought the toughest part would be the sleepless nights or the endless messes. But the absolute worst thing about having children, for me, has been the constant worry. No one warned me how my heart would ache with every scraped knee, every harsh word from a classmate, or every fever. The fear of not being able to protect them from every hurt or disappointment is overwhelming at times. Yet, this worry is also a sign of how deeply I love them. It’s a bittersweet part of the journey I never saw coming. Can anyone else relate to this unexpected challenge?
