Is Wanting a Special Birthday Party for My Kid Too Much?

Lately, I’ve been wondering if my expectations for my child’s birthday party are a bit over the top. I see other parents throwing these elaborate celebrations, and I can’t help but feel pressure to do the same. Last year, I planned a small gathering, but deep down, I wished I could have done more—maybe a themed party or some extra special touches. Am I being entitled for wanting my child to have a memorable day, or is this just part of wanting the best for our kids?
