As a twenty-year-old who used to spend every weekend out drinking with friends, I’ve noticed a big shift since I started meditating seriously. The more I meditate, the less I crave alcohol. I no longer feel the need for an altered state to find peace. Instead, I value the clarity and calm that meditation brings, and drinking just doesn’t appeal to me anymore.
